Junior Team Tennis, or “JTT”, brings together boys and girls, ages 5 to 18, to play singles, doubles and mixed doubles against other coed teams.

Beyond being fun and a great form of exercise, Junior Team Tennis is a competitive, level-based environment that promotes individual growth, social development and life skills.

Summer of 2024 Details

JTT at Applewood Knolls involves matches on Mondays and two practices per week, beginning on May 28^th.  Pending qualification, our season concludes at the State Tournament held on August 2-4, 2024.

10 & Under Co-Ed: Matches Mondays at 8am. Practices T/TH 10-11am
12 & Under Girls: Matches Mondays at 9:30am. Practices W/F 9:30-11am
12 & Under Boys: Matches Mondays at 9:30am. Practices W/F 8-9:30am
14 & Under Girls: Matches Mondays at 11am. Practices W/F 11am-12:30

A NOTE ON HOME MATCHES

This summer we are excited to add 6 more teams, for a total of 14 teams! This is possible because Wheat Ridge High School is generously allowing us to host Monday matches on their Everett Middle School Campus Courts located at 3900 Kipling Street in Wheat Ridge- just a short drive from the courts at Applewood Knolls. We are so excited to be able to get more kids on the courts, playing this beautiful game! 

(Practices are all still at Applewood Knolls Swim and Tennis Club!)

Be aware that your team may be playing a Monday “Home” match at the Everitt Middle School location courts. Your coaches will keep you in the loop of the location of your Monday matches. Thank you all in advance for your flexibility on Mondays to make the expansion of our AK Tennis Program possible! AND HUGE THANKS TO WHEAT RIDGE HIGH SCHOOL!

Team Meeting and Uniform Pick up at AK:
Friday, April 12, 4pm

First practice of the season:

First match of the season:
June 10^th 

July 4^th Week:
Match play on Monday, the 1^st, but no practice this week!

Last regular season match:
July 22

State Championships in Denver:
August 2/3/4 (pending qualification)

Team Awards Banquet for players and families:
August 5^th in the evening.
