Available Positions
Lifeguard
- CPR and First Aid certified
- Recognize and respond to emergency situations
- Actively scan the pool area during rotation
- Man the check-in stand when needed and know and operate the check-in system
- Be willing to learn teaching methods of swim lessons and once trained teach lessons
- Perform cleaning and maintenance duties in the pool area, bathrooms, guard office, and grounds
- Backwashing and check chemical levels of the pool as requested
- Complete training with supervisor regarding pool chemicals and retain general knowledge of pool maintenance
- In a friendly and confident manner assist members with pool, swim lesson, and swim team questions
- Operate the Snack Shack
- Other duties as assigned by Pool Manager and Head Lifeguards
Head Lifeguard
- Perform all duties as described in the Lifeguard Job Description
- Acting manager when pool manager is not present
- Assisting members when pool manager is not present, this includes assisting lifeguards with member issues
- Identify and assign tasks to guards to complete necessary tasks to operate Applewood Knolls
- Understanding of and ability to perform complex pool chemical duties and pool maintenance when the manager is not present
- Other duties as assigned by Pool Manager
