APPLEWOOD KNOLLS POOL MANAGER
MAY – SEPTEMBER, 2022

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Prepare and oversee guard schedules through Quickbooks time app.  Train guards on clocking in and out on the Time app.  Review hours at the end of the pay period to ensure accuracy. Report to the treasurer that this task is completed on the specified day so payroll can be processed appropriately. 
• Maintain an appropriate inventory of First Aid supplies. 
• Supervise the pool lifeguards, ensuring and enforcing compliance with all established safety rules. 
• Supervise and ensure guards complete all cleaning responsibilities. 
• Prepare for and run bi-weekly in-service training for lifeguards.
• Ensure lifeguards are trained in first aid, CPR, and lifesaving skills by collecting certifications and providing ongoing training. 
• Create and assist in the implementation of new procedures to improve daily operations.
• Maintain a current CPR certification.
• Train staff to teach swim lessons.
• Schedule and supervise four sessions of lessons. 
• Provide proper care for members and guests who struggle swimming or other first-aid interventions.
• Be the primary point of contact for members regarding any issues with the pool.  Escalate appropriate cases to the board. 
• Ensure daily chemical and safety checklist, including backwashing is complete.  
• Work with Action Pool to ensure proper chemicals are in stock at the pool and chemical levels remain within the appropriate levels as specified by the county.
• Purchase and keep an appropriate inventory of snack bar items for sale. 
• Prepare the nightly deposit or instruct a responsible guard to do so. 
• Maintain a strong presence at the pool, especially during peak hours and Holidays. 
• Other duties as assigned by the Applewood Knolls board President.
